On Saturday, September 10th (2a-d), Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club, Southside Chicago Hitmen Chapter 12th Annual Run with the Pigs Poker Run

Proceeds to benefit Fire Fighter (GBS)/Police charities
$20 per person/rider ** Starting Time: 10 am

First Stop: Guide’s Sports Bar, 5544 S Archer Ave, Chicago
Second Stop: Tom’s Place, 110 Stephen St, Lemont
Third Stop: Pelican Harry’s Bar and Grill, 14807 S Founders Crossing, Homer Glen
Forth Stop: Iron Horse Lockport Bar and Grill, 1225 E 9th St, Lockport
Final Stop: Rokwelz Bar Meets Grill, 11265 W 159th St, Orland Park

Tickets and additional raffle tickets can be purchased at Guide’s Sport Bar the morning of. Even if you don’t ride, all adults are welcome to attend. Come out and enjoy the day! Lots of gift baskets to be raffled off and even a 55 inch LED TV!

** Ticket money includes 1 free raffle per ticket, free family-style buffet at last stop, and discounted drinks at each bar.

On Sunday, September 17th(3c-1),the International Association of Firefighters will have their annual memorial held in Colorado Springs, CO with them remembering our Chicago Fallen Firefighters/Paramedics especially FF Dan Capuano. Safe travels all whom are traveling and please know that all of them are in our thoughts and prayers.

On Thursday, September 22nd (2e-3), 50th Anniversary of 100 Club of Chicago. This wonderful event directly benefits the mission of the 100 Club~ to provide for the surviving spouses and dependents of the first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. This includes federal, state, county, and local officers, firefighters, and EMS professionals stationed working in and out of Cook and Lake Counties. On Sunday, September 25th (2a-1), the 34nd Annual Rosehill Memorial Ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the monument of the CFFU Local 2 at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 North Ravenswood Avenue.

On Sunday, October 9th (1e-3)The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation will be hosting their annual Memorial Ceremony in Emmittsburg, MD. FF/PM Dan Capuano will be honored and many members from the CFD and GBS will be there to offer support. Safe travels all whom are traveling and please know that all of them are in our thoughts and prayers. Please keep the Capuano Family in your thoughts.

The Chicago Axemen Illinois Chapter 1, working with many great businesses, is raising money for the EMWQ Retirees’, Widows’ and Children’s Assistance Fund. They will be having “Cruise Night” every 3rd Wednesday of every month. Aug.17th, Sept. 21st, and Oct.19th located at Mill Creek Center 12902-12960 S. Lagrange Road. Please join them for classic cars, great food and drinks. Check out their pages on Facebook for more information please.
