Fr. Tom still has 3 more monthly masses, Apr 16, May 21, and Jun 18. It would be nice to add this time to a friendly send off.

Attached please find a flyer for an event we are planning for Sunday, May 21. The CFD monthly mass is that day at 8:30 AM, followed by the usual fellowship, then our special gathering at 11:00 AM.

It began with the planning for a GBS Anniversary celebration and grew to also include a celebration of Fr. Tom’s retirement once it was announced and then discovering May is also the month he will be celebrating his 40th Anniversary in the priesthood. Wow!

Gifts are a personal choice and not necessary. However we have discovered a fun gift to present to Fr. Tom, a surprise of course. If at all interested, please either reply to this email or call Eileen for details.

This gathering is in no way intended to keep people from attending

Fr. Tom’s Gala.  The Gala promises to be the event of the year, one not to be missed.  The focus of the gathering on May 21 is still our 26th Anniversary.  From our humble beginnings of celebrating our anniversary with potluck luncheons in Fr. Tom’s rectory, we have always celebrated our anniversary, and we have anniversaries thanks to him.

As we begin a new year, a friendly reminder, you do not need to be Catholic to attend the CFD monthly Mass and fellowship that follows. Also, you do not need to attend mass and fellowship in order to attend GBS meetings. The meeting starts about 10:00 a.m. (depending on the level of socializing), these meetings generally last for about an hour and there is always someone looking to go out to lunch afterwards. Attending meetings is the best way to keep informed and we are always open to fresh faces and new input.
