Dear Gold Badge Members and Friends,

Congratulations to newly appointed CFD Commissioner Richard C. Ford II. Thank you being a support to the CFD Gold Badge Society and look forward to working with you.

Thank you to Local 2, especially Public Relations Director, Dave Quintaville for celebrating the CFD family with the CFD Picnic held at Memorial Park on Sunday September 23rd! What a beautiful day! The hard work and dedication of so many made this day possible.

Thank you for all whom attended the Annual Rosehill Memorial Ceremony honoring all deceased CFD Local 2 Members throughout the year. A special remembrance was given to the Bucio Family.

On Sunday, October 7th (2b-3), The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation will be hosting their annual Memorial Ceremony in Emmittsburg, MD. Safe travels all whom are traveling and please know that all of them are in our thoughts and prayers.

Please join us for our monthly meeting held at Holy Family Church following 8:30 a.m. mass on Sunday, October 21st in the basement of the church. Please know that you do not need to attend mass for meeting is followed after refreshments and fellowship. Many important items will be discussed.

Please keep GBS Member Grant Bahr, son of Lisa Grant and nephew of LODD Billy Grant in your thoughts and prayers. Grant is battling cancer; please consider looking at his page to hear more about his story. www.gofundme.com/kickgrantscancer

As we are always in the process of updating the GBS’s membership, we are asking if you have any new information that you would like us to have i.e. an updated e-mail, address, phone number or any other contact information that we would need to contact members, please let us know at this address or contact Eileen via cell number.

As much as we like to include any events, updates etc. through the newsletter, many come up through the month and we would like to keep the membership updated the best that we can. Any help on this matter, would be appreciated.
