CFD Gold Badge Society Scholarship applications for the Class of 2019 graduating (qualified) 8thgrade and High School senior children of active, retired, disabled, or deceased firefighters/paramedics of the Chicago Fire Department are now available.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation offers financial assistance for post-secondary education and training to spouses, life partners, children and stepchildren of firefighters honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Children and stepchildren must be under age 30 and have been under age 22 at the time of the firefighter’s death.
On Friday, February 22nd (3d-4), a Unity Brunch celebrating Black History Month will take place at Apostolic Church of God located at 6320 S. Dorchester Ave. in Chicago 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the theme of Standing on the Shoulders of Giants. Tickets are $35.00. Remember, if you are under 21 or over 65 you may waives dues but please inform us that you would like to be considered or remain a member. Board elections are up next month, positions include president, vice president, treasurer, corresponding secretary, recording secretary, program director, and historian. If interested in any of these positions, please contact us at this address or Eileen.
It is time to renew our committees as well. They consist of Scholarship, Monthly Mass Hosts, Memorial Park, and CFD VS CPD Charity Baseball Game. If interested in joining any of these committees, please let us know.
