Dear Gold Badge Members and Friends, 

Thank you to the Battle of the Badges Boxing Committee for the proceeds shared with the GBS from the annual CFD vs CPD Boxing Tournament. We also want to extend our gratitude to the many who attended this event which supports both our Scholarship Program and stewardship of the Memorial Park.  Congrats to the CFD who took home the trophy.

On Wednesday, July 18th (3a-2), 19thAnnual CFD vs CPD Charity Baseball Game @ Guaranteed Rate Field 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $5.00,please contact Ted at this address, 708.979.5317 or please check our website www.cfdgoldbadge.orgto purchase. This is a wonderful event for all ages!! Tickets will also be available in Lot B before the game for $10.00. Volunteers are needed. Please contact Ted if can volunteer or need tickets.  CFD FF/EMT Air and Sea Rescue Juan Bucio will be honored during this game with VIP seating offered to his family only.  CPD Commander Paul Bauer will also be honored.

On Wednesday, July 18th (3a-2), CFD vs CPD Annual Charity Baseball Game held at Guaranteed Rate Field 7:00 p.m.  As always, volunteers needed before, during, and after game. Please contact Ted Johnson via cell or at this address.

On Saturday, September 8th (1a-4), The Illinois Annual Survivors Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites of Carol Stream. Please note that in the past this conference was the day before the NFFF golf outing, new this year it will be the day after. More details to follow.

Local 2 has contacted GBS in an effort to reinstitute celebrating the Chicago Fire Department family with having a Family Picnic at Memorial Park on Sunday September 23rd. Planning is still in the early stages, more details will follow next month.
