Get well wishes to Donna Gasior, a long time active member of the GBS.  Donna has been dealing with some health issues for a number of months.  Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Our bi-annual Board Elections were scheduled for February.  This did not happen because we did not have enough members willing to serve nor enough members in attendance to take a vote.  There is a need to make some transitions.  Without fresh voices with fresh ideas, it is difficult to move forward. We are looking at ways for both the board and our committees to operate more efficiently and share tasks.  Our mission is to support each other and most definitely support new families that we encounter.  We cannot afford to be burdened with operational difficulties if we are to fulfill our mission.  Please let us know if you want to be part of the conversation.

The Archdiocese of Chicago is changing the way that Holy Family Church will function as of July 1.  We may not have access to meeting space.  There has been conversation about only meeting every third month, but even with that change, we may be searching for space.
