Please include a letter or the e-mail trail explaining the reason for the return along with the RMA number clearly denoted on the letter and on the outside of the package. Please make sure the RMA number is on the package.

September/October Newsletter
Dear Gold Badge Members and Friends,
The CFD Bravest Baseball team takes on the CPD Finest for the annual match up at US Cellular Field on Saturday, September 12th at 12 noon. Come on out and cheer on our team! If you are interested in volunteering please contact Eileen Coglianese at 708.444.3005.
Chicago is hosting the Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Convention. The CFD will be honoring one of their own, Joseph McCarthy. GBS has been invited to join the CFD in paying tribute on September 16th, 10:30am at the Quinn Academy. Please contact Eileen if you would like to attend by Friday, September 11th.
St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Chicago Firefighters will gather at the CFD Quinn Academy to shave their heads in solidarity of children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. The clipping begins at 8am and closes at 1pm. The festivities and clipping continue at 115 Bourbon Street, Merrionette Park, at 7pm. Volunteers are needed to work registration at both locations. If interested please contact Eileen at 708-444-3005.
Our condolences to the family of GBS member Sharon O’Donovan, widow of LODD Eng. Thomas O’Donovan (7/9/86; E107). Ms. O’Donovan passed away September 2nd. Her son James O’Donovan is on the CFD as well.

Saturday, September 12th CFD Bravest will take on the CPD Finest in the 9th Annual Battle of the Badges Baseball game to be held at US Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. Game will kick off at 12 noon.
Wednesday, September 16th Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients Convention. CFD will honor Joseph McCarthy at the Quinn Academy at 10:30am.
Friday, September 25th St. Baldrick’s Foundation event at the Quinn Academy starting at 8:30am. The event will continue later in the evening at 155 Bourbon Street.
Sunday, September 27th CFFU Local 2’s Annual Memorial at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood. Ceremony begins at 10 am.
