The Chicago Fire Department Gold Badge Society was founded on February 17, 1991.

Our purpose for existing

We offer support and comfort to any and all who might benefit from our experiences, especially any future duty-death families.

We work to achieve this in four key ways.

Serving as advocates and providing ongoing comfort and support.

We also frequently publish a newsletter to keep in touch with families of fallen heroes and host in-person events across the city.

Outreach to families on a national level.

While we are based in Greater Chicagoland, we also serve as an advocate for families of fallen heroes across the country – contact us.

Creating a Memorial Park honoring our fallen firefighters and paramedics, our heroes.

Our Memorial Park is located at 2300 S. Ft. Dearborn Dr. – adjacent to McCormick Place Lakeside Center on Chicago’s lakefront.

A ever-growing youth scholarship program.
