The CFD Picnic 12th Annual Family Day is fast approaching on Sunday August 3rd. This is a wonderful event for all to enjoy. The CFD is doing another department yearbook.  They would like to include the GBS again.  It has been suggested by the committee chair that we get a group photo with as many members as possible and that we have the photo taken at the picnic.  So please make the effort to attend this year and please remember that we are a family support group, not a widows group.  We would really like to see some males included in this photo.

Plans are moving along well for the 2nd Annual Illinois Firefighter Survivor Conference on July 17. Although the request was to RSVP has passed, if you need a few more days to decide, that is fine. If you did not receive an invitation to the conference, please contact Eileen.

The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend will be held October 10-12, 2014, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The NFFF invites you to attend and encourage you to register online at Registration for Returning Survivors closes on August 31, 2014.
