Father Tom Mulcrone with his new 2017 Toyota Highlander (including gas cards)! Now that’s a great retirement gift! Courtesy of the entire Chicago Fire Department Family… those individuals and organizations who donated, bought coins, placed ads, shared memories, attended the retirement party, and supported Father Tom’s efforts for the past 30 years!

Also, in recognition of his dedication of making who we are, a GBS scholarship in his name has been established. Thank you Fr.


Thank you to CFD Bravest and Finest for a fun filled night at US Cellular for the Annual Classic Baseball Game on Wednesday July 12th. Thank you to all volunteers who helped throughout the event especially Ted Johnson.

On Tuesday August 29th, (1c-3), CFD Candidate Paramedic Graduation will be held at IIT’s Hermann Hall, 3241 S. Federal beginning at 6:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE NEW START TIME AND VENUE. All are welcome. If attending please RSVP by Tuesday, August 22nd to Eileen.

*Saturday October 21st, please join the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums in celebrating 10 years of service, 4pm-8pm at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Tickets are $35.00 and include food, wine, beer and pop and are free for guests under the age of 18. Enjoy performances by the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums, Celtic Aire, the Larkin Brothers and local Irish dancers. All proceeds go to the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums, a 501c3 non-profit organization in the State of Illinois.

There are two charity golf outings this year in Illinois to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. For further information on how to participate by either golfing or donating, please visit On a national level, there may be one near you. The NFFF has done so much to support CFD duty deaths families in recent years and they deserve our support.
