On Thursday, September 7th (1a-4), The Illinois Annual Survivors Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites of Carol Stream. For more details please contact Eileen at 708-560-5792 or cfdgoldbadge@aol.com

On Sunday, September 16th (1d-1), the International Association of Firefighters will have their annual memorial held in Colorado Springs, CO with them remembering Fallen Firefighters and Paramedics. Safe travels all who are traveling and please know that all of them are in our thoughts and prayers.

On Sunday, September 24th (3b-1), the 34nd Annual Rosehill Memorial Ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the monument of the CFFU Local 2 at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 North Ravenswood Avenue. This is a beautiful memorial that if unable to make others, this is a wonderful way to show support to all that are being remembered.

On Saturday October 7th (1a-2), the Fire Museum of Greater Chicago will host a fundraiser at 115th Bourbon Street 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are only $25(beer, wine, pop, and food). A ticket enters you in the grand raffle you can win a $500 gift card for Southwest Airlines, a fitbit, and an Amazon Echo. Please help support your museum by buying a ticket. Also this year is their 20 year anniversary. They will be having many more open houses and events throughout the year to celebrate. Come on out bring the kids and we can take a visit through the history of the Chicago Fire Department from the volunteer years all the way to the present. With everything in middle. Listen to the stories of the board members as they share knowledge of this great department. Added a few more display cases so come down and see new displays. Admission is Free!!  Save the Date!!

*Saturday October 21st (3a-4), please join the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums in celebrating 10 years of service, 4pm-8pm at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Tickets are $35.00 and include food, wine, beer and pop and are free for guests under the age of 18. Enjoy performances by the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums, Celtic Aire, the Larkin Brothers and local Irish dancers. All proceeds go to the Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums, a 501c3 non-profit organization in the State of Illinois.  Calling All Golfers! 

There is one remaining charity golf outing this year in Illinois to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. For further information on how to participate by either golfing or donating, please visit www.firehero.org. On a national level, there may be one near you. The NFFF has done so much to support CFD duty deaths families in recent years and they deserve our support.
