Dear Gold Badge Members and Friends, 

Thank you to all who have supported the GBS Scholarship Program. All applications were due On March 31st. Recipients will be awarded during June’s monthly mass.

On Friday, April, 13th (3d-2) CFD vs CPD Battle of the Badges Charity Boxing Exhibition held at De La Salle HS beginning at 6:00 p.m.

On Saturday, April 14th (1d-3), The Chicago Fire Department Firefighter and Paramedic Retiree Memorial will be dedicated beginning at 10:00 a.m. held at Quinn Fire Academy 558 W. De Koven. All are welcome.

Chicago Fireman’ American Legion Post #667 presents the 84th Annual Memorial Day service to be held at Holy Family Church located 1120 W. Roosevelt on Monday, May 28th (3d-3). Assembly of uniform and Post 667 members at 9:00 a.m., followed by a short parade at 9:30 a.m. Mass and service at 10:00 a.m. with awarding of Post #667 scholarships at the end mass. This will be followed by a 21 gun salute, taps and flag raising ceremony outside of church. A continental breakfast will be served in the church basement. This annual Memorial Day mass is in honor of personnel and GBS members that have passed away in the last year.


Save the Date:

On Saturday, September 8th (1a-4), The Illinois Annual Survivors Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites of Carol Stream. Please note that in the past this conference was the day before the NFFF golf outing, new this year it will be the day after. More details to follow.
